What is 'Asterism' Rose Quartz?
Asterism or 'star' is the phenomenon of crystals exhibiting a luminous star-like pattern when polished. This is caused by the the difference in refractive index between the host material, and that of the dense inclusions of fibres of rutile.

Please note, while all spheres display asterism, some are more prominent than others, and is best seen with your phone flashlight.
